NIMROD Elite - With IK Multi Beam Sonar, Inertial Navigation & DVL

The NIMROD console has been designed to assist divers to locate and detect objects underwater via high frequency sonar imagery and navigational capabilities through DVL, the NIMROD is the ideal solution for the following applications:

HOUSING
The NIMROD computer “platform” Incorporates a 7” High resolution 32 bit colour display, housed in a hard anodised aluminium console and features tempered safety glass. This ensures that NIMROD offers a robust and user friendly computer console. The housing and electrical connectors have been designed to ensure unintended loosening is not possible.

Adjustable handles to offer comfort and swimming flexibility to the operator, all hardware (Console, Sonar, GPS & DVL) are integrated into the hard housing for ease of use and protection.

KEYPAD
The eight buttons on the front panel have been designed to allow for easy operation by a diver who may have limited dexterity due to the need to operate the NIMROD while wearing dive gloves.

OPERATING SYSTEM
Preinstalled with the Windows® operating system and Northern Divers navigation and mission planning software the NIMROD can be used to operate a range of software packages in conjunction with other hardware sensor and devices. An Intel Atom processor and 2GB RAM ensure that the NIMROD has the capacity to run software programs requiring significant processing power, with a 120Gb internal solid state drive the NIMROD can be used to store mission critical information which can be downloaded post mission for analysis by downloading though the USB 3.0 port. Powered from internal power supply or alternatively powered from a 20 to 36V DC external power supply.

CONTENTS OF EACH SYSTEM
Powered by NIMROD Windows operating system complete with multi-beam sonar, Doppler-Velocity-Log (DVL), GPS float, charger (UK, EU or US), user manual, USB software and storage case. Custom part numbering and logos can be added upon request. Before delivery each unit will be magnetically ranged to prove that a static magnetic signature of no more than 5nT will be present within a distance of 1m.
